SUMMARY:MassCEC’s Vehicle-to-Everything Demonstration Program – Clean Energy Group Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Electric vehicles (EVs) can serve as a grid resource when they are integrated through vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology. V2X systems incorporate bi-directional charging.  This allows EV batteries to both receive and dispatch grid power, sending stored energy back to the utility grid or to other connected infrastructure such as buildings. These technologies are relatively new and adopting them can pose complex challenges for customers. State support can be an important part of encouraging more widespread adoption of these technologies.\nThis Clean Energy Group webinar will highlight the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC)’s Vehicle-to-Everything Demonstration Projects program, which provides funding to residential, commercial, and school district applicants to install bi-directional EV chargers at no cost. Data from the installed charging stations will be collected and analyzed as a part of the program to further understand the benefits of the technology.\nElijah Sinclair (MassCEC), Sally Griffith (Resource-Innovations), and Katie Peterson (The Mobility House) will provide an overview of the program design, highlight initial lessons learned from installations that were completed in October, and share preliminary findings from the demonstration program including EV charging and discharging data. Clean Energy Group’s Olivia Tym will moderate.\nMORE INFORMATION\n
