We are a national 501(c)(3) non-profit whose goal is to promote local economic development through community-wide investments in emerging electric technologies. We focus on communities across the country that might otherwise be left behind as transportation and other areas are transformed to run on electricity and our nation’s electric infrastructure becomes smarter, more efficient, cleaner, and stronger.
We aim to ensure that the greatest possible economic, geographic, and demographic equity accompanies these changes. We facilitate collaboration among leaders in the communities we work with, including those from business, education, community-based organizations, community and family foundations, and electric utilities.
By emphasizing local involvement and careful listening, we craft community engagement, economic development, electric transportation, and general electrification plans that tap into community assets to ensure that crucial work is completed.
