The Southcentral Minnesota Clean Energy Council (SMCEC) is a clean energy advocacy group that promotes renewable energy, energy-saving technologies and energy efficiency in southcentral Minnesota. With a goal to combat climate change and lessen the reliance on fossil fuel energy resources, the organization works to educate consumers, businesses, nonprofits and governments on clean energy options.
SMCEC actively shares resources and information with local stakeholders and hosts monthly forums on clean energy and energy efficiency opportunities. The organization has posted an array of EV resources on its website, including a list of upcoming EV events, an EV dictionary and information on local EV organizations.
The SMCEC also focuses on working to diversify the regional economy and strengthen local communities through promoting renewable energy and electric vehicles in the region.
